ACCOMMODATIONS Lodging can be secured at our base camp when you make reservations for your trip or we will be happy to pick you up and drop you off at any other lodging facility in the Lake Placid area. WHAT TO BRING Participants need their own sleeping bags and clothes. Packing list provided upon reservation. RESERVATIONS A 50% deposit is required to bind your reservation; with the balance being due before departure. The deposit minus 10% to cover administrative and planning expenses will be refunded up to 30 days prior to departure date. No refund after that time. A full refund will be made, however, if circumstances beyond our control cause us to cancel a trip. Upon receipt of your deposit, you will be sent travel instructions, an itinerary, medical information and release forms, and an equipment packing list to aid you in your preparation. MasterCard and Visa are accepted. LIABILITY Although Middle Earth Expeditions spares no effort to assure a safe trip, it must be understood that there is an inherent danger in any wilderness trip and some factors are beyond our control. For this reason, Middle Earth Expeditions assumes no responsibilities for the loss or damage of personal property and each participant is required to sign an assumption of risk and liability release form before departure. We reserve the right to reschedule or reroute trips when river or mountain conditions are extreme.
